Overview
The Sales Return module is used to record products returned by customers against an existing Sales Order. It updates the return quantity and records the reason for the return.
Navigation:
Inventory → Sales Return
Sales Return List

The Sales Return List displays all sales return transactions and provides options to search, filter, export, and print records.
Available Filters
Use the filters at the top of the page to locate sales return records.
- Date Range
- From Date
- To Date
- Customer
- Warehouse
- Sales Return No (SR No)
Click the Search button after selecting the required filters.
Sales Return List Information
Each sales return record displays the following information:
- S.No
- SR No
- Date
- Customer
- Based On
- Warehouse
- Total Qty
- Credit Note
Available Actions
The following options are available on the Sales Return List page:
- Copy
- CSV Export
- Excel Export
- PDF Export
- Search
- Add Sales Return
Creating a Sales Return

Click Add Sales Return to create a new sales return transaction.
Step 1: Enter Basic Information
Complete the sales return details.

| SR No | Displays the Sales Return number. |
| Numbering Type | Select the numbering method. |
| Date | Select the Sales Return date. |
| Sales Order No | Select the related Sales Order. |
| Warehouse | Select the warehouse where the returned items will be received. |
Step 2: Review Sales Order Items
After selecting the Sales Order, the item details are displayed.
The item grid includes:
- S.No
- Item
- Delivered Qty
- Already Return Qty
- Eligible Return Qty
- Return to Receivable Qty
- Return Credit Qty
Enter the return quantity for the required items.
Step 3: Enter Return Reason
Use the Reason field to record the reason for the sales return.
Step 4: Save the Sales Return
After verifying the information, choose one of the following options:
- Save – Saves the Sales Return.
- Save & Print – Saves the Sales Return and prints the document.
- Save & Email – Saves the Sales Return and sends it by email.
- Close – Closes the screen without saving.
